I was eating lunch with my language partner the other day when she ordered a slice of pizza from the cafeteria. We were talking in French as she sliced it and her plastic knife broke. She went back for another plastic knife and it happened again!! All we could do was laugh. In the end she ate her pizza with her hands – utensils just would not work.
Would that happen in Italy with a slice of pizza? I don’t think so!!! “Usually in Italy the dough is soften and thinner,” Max (my Italian husband) said. The moral to the story is just go ahead and eat pizza with your hands!!
